If you are looking forward to doing an MBA in India, than the first thing that would come to your mind is the IIM's. The IIM's or the Indian Institute of Management is considered to be the best institutes for doing an MBA in India.
These institutes are not only recognized in India but are well known even in the rest of the world. They are also ranked in the top 60 - 70 colleges which offer management programs in the entire world.
The IIM's have run by the Government since many years and are known to have a great campus and an equally good teaching as well as visiting faculty. This institute is well known to convert curious students into competent managers. The IIM's offer a 2 year programme after which the students get recruited by multinational companies which offer them lucrative salaries as well.
Getting into an IIM is not a cake walk cause they take the best of the students for their university. It is one to the toughest universities to get into and only 1% of the students who apply get into this university. To get into one of the six IIM's you need to give the CAT firstly. The CAT is considered to be the most challenging and the toughest exams in India. The short listed students who clear the written round have to go through the Group Discussion follower by a personal Interview. The cumulative scored of both is taken into account.
